National Burger Day
Last week we celebrated National Burger Day (albeit on the wrong day). We offered everyone a free upgrade to double the beef in their burger and we had an overwhelming response! Our burgers are 100% Aberdeen Angus and are sourced locally from our Butchers, Morgan’s. Some customers took National Burger Day to a new level by attempting to complete the Wonder Burger Challenge. No such winners this time…but have you seen the thing?!
Chris Evans at the Wonder Cafe
Recently we had a very serious flooding problem in Hillingdon which caused terrible traffic in the area. Whilst this was a nightmare for most locals, we did get a surprise visitor who had been stuck in traffic for four hours on his way back from work.
Chris Evans popped in for Desperate Dan, which consists of eggs, chips, 1 rasher of bacon, sausage, beans liver and a 6 ounce burger.
He raved about us on twitter and the following morning he talked about us on his breakfast show, saying what an excellent meal he had!
Needless to say, he was lovely and we’d love to see him again if he ever finds himself hungry and in the area.
You can listen to our celebrity endorsement here…

Monte Carlo or Bust at the Wonder Cafe
Every year thousands of people undertake a challenge to buy car for £250 or less and hit Europe’s greatest roads and cities for 3 days to Monte Carlo. Inspired by the classic Paramount film, the bangers drive to some of Europe’s most exciting locations and spectacular roads. And obviously the teams need sustenance…and that is where we come in.
Team Testatossas came to the Wonder Cafe to get their fill of breakfast baps, rolls and full fry-ups before they journeyed, and successfully completed the Monte Carlo or Bust Challenge.
We were delighted to have a little name check on their vehicle and we look forward to welcoming pilgrims from all over europe who have seen our name!
CONGRATULATIONS TEAM!
Welcome to the New Website!
Although we had a really fab website, courtesy of our incredible developer, Laura Dawaf, we thought it was time it had a facelift (and a few more pages), so you can interact with us, see our menus and food, offers and look at how to find us all in one place. Laura Dawaf , website designer and developer, did the honours for us and we are absolutely delighted with the result!
The Wonder Cafe has been trading since 1976 but it’s only been in the last few years that we have entered the digital world! As we are sure you know, we are now on twitter, instagram and facebook and have over 1300 likes. Not bad for a little old cafe in Hillingdon.
We really hope you find the website easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. Please don’t hesitate to use our contact page if you have anything that you think is missing form the site or to let us know what you think of it!
Enjoy!
Love
The Wonder Cafe.
