We just wanted to give you a quick update on our breakfast deals. Last month we offered a free breakfast item with every breakfast over £5, which seemed to go down very well! We hope you managed to get down and take advantage of a free sausage or hashbrown, or whatever you fancied!
This month our classic offer is back, by popular demand: A full english, with tea or a can is only £5 for the rest of the month! We hope this makes your summer even happier!

Hello Wonder Cafe fans!
It’s been a while since we let you know what we are up to so we thought it was high time we said hello and sent a brand new offer your way!
You will have noticed that way back in January we reorganised and beautified our counter area, with some brand new fridges and lighting. We hope this means that you can see us a bit better, and more importantly, see what is being cooked up for you as well as what’s in the fridges, for your eating and drinking pleasure.
We also introduced some hard copy menus that you can peruse at your leisure. Although we love our traditional pictures and boards at the front of the cafe, we know that some of our newer customers can sometimes be bamboozled by the huge amount of information, and if you aren’t a regular and don’t have a favourite dish, this can be confusing!
Finally, we gave our toilets a lick of paint and put some brand new flooring in, which we think matches our booths and updated style.

And so, our wonderful new offer! For every meal over £5 you purchase on a weekday, you can pick a FREE breakfast item to add to your plate. The options include: Bacon, sausage, egg, hash brown, beans, fresh or tinned tomatoes, black pudding, mushrooms, fried bread or toast…

New Year, New Offers
Happy New Year!
Now, we know that it’s really tricky to keep to your New Year’s resolution, whatever you have decided on, and it’s even harder to have to change your habits to make it work. So this year, to help you along, we have a new healthier meal and two new money saving offers!
First, when you buy a meal with us, any meal of at least a value of £5, you can get a free canned drink· All you need to do is check in on Facebook on your mobile or tablet device, using our free wifi, and show it to the member of staff on the till. You’ll get a free canned drink, including coke, diet coke, coke zero, fanta, cherry coke, lilt, sprite and many others . Secondly, we have introduced a new healthy meal for anyone who is watching their calorie intake following a heavy Christmas. With 2 slices of grilled ham, a double portion of scrambled eggs and grilled tomatoes, you can avoid carbs, calories and go paleo. You can also add extras if you are feeling really hungry. Our new item will only set you back £5.10 which is a bargain for sticking to your goals. Perhaps you could even have a fruit juice or a herbal tea to really go for it!
Finally, we will be continuing our offer of a £5 lunch special everyday. The offer includes a cup of tea and regularly has pies, roasts, chilli and all the other options on our usual lunch menu. It means you can guarantee to only spend £5 with us, if you so wish.

This Morning and the Eating Challenge
This week the Wonder Cafe went national.
The Wonder Cafe challenge was on ITV’s This Morning and we reasoned that when Philip Schofield and Amanda Holden are talking about your fry-up on national TV, you have made it. That said, we were expecting a little more air time, not least because we thought that the challenger, Emma Dalton, had 45 minutes to complete it. We figured that we’d have at least that time to get our name out there…but no such luck.
This INCREDIBLE challenge eater, finished the Wonder Cafe challenge in 21 minutes and 34 seconds. Considering that no one else has even come close to finishing in double the time this was an incredible feat and we were aghast at her food vaccuming skills. She even text us afterwards to say how much she had enjoyed it and that she was having some chocolate as she messaged. The lovely Emma even thanked us for the food!
So, although our eating challenge fame lasted only a few minutes, we are delighted to have been on the show. And we really are amazed at Emma’s skills. If we ever have a few minutes of fame again we hope that the crew will come down the the cafe and actually see where the magic happens!
